Tresorit prepares the link – allowing users to set expiration date and download limits – and places it in the Link folder from where it can be fired off as an email attachment. All the user has to do is right click the file (or a compressed file) that they wish to send as a secure attachment. Once the Tresorit app is installed, the user can create an encrypted email attachment from any file on their computer – even if it’s not in a tresor. It’s easy to get lost among different file versions and to waste hours updating a file someone else has already completed. This quickly gets in the way of business. Even after setup is complete, emails and attachments need to be manually encrypted, and decrypted, one by one.Users need to download and install an app, create „public” and „private” encryption keys, then exchange the public ones with anyone they want to share files with. Setting up encrypted email is tedious, and less tech-savvy users may struggle to set it up correctly. How does Tresorit compare to encrypted email attachments?.It’s also easy to share files securely with others, even if they don’t use Tresorit. There’s no margin of error, as users don’t have to lift a finger. Tresorit encryption takes place in the background.
